You know how some books are like a tube of pringles and you just gorge yourself and love it and read it one sitting? And then others are like a rich chocolate tart and so perfect but you can't gorge on it? I'm threading the latter type and it's so gooood.

Fell for some hype and attempted to read an F/M romance for the first time about 2 years. I won't name it because it's not fair but man... nowhere near as good as queer romance. Prob is I'm 80%in and refuse to dnf, so it counts to my reading goal. Bored AF.

So... Kiss the Villain seems super divisive?? I've been reading it and see it getting lots of criticism for non con/dub con content... both of which are listed in the triggers and don't seem a problem for many readers in GOM... also worth remembering that many victims of SA/🍇 find such content>

I'm struggling through a major book slump due to an ongoing health scare and medical gaslighting... Not being able to concentrate on reading has been a horrible side effect. A couple of brilliant ARCs are getting me through... kindness is everything, and art in all forms can be so kind.

Currently reading the arc of this by Ally Avery and I'm 75% through. Anyway, you know when people say "the spice is really integral to the plot"... this is actually one of those. Two broken men one of whom is helping the other understand consent whilst still having riproaring sex. Check triggers!
