My understanding is that in feudal Japan, the idea of "10,000" was synonymous with "infinite." So, that has always affected how i view this idea.
Side note, the original step counters were from the 10,000 step company, so read into that what you will.

Maybe not total trash. Maybe I was adhering to my ryu's constraints too tightly.
