UPDATE: Loddon River downstream of Loddon Weir.

A summer fresh of up to 100ML/day will flow down the Loddon for 5 days from 22 Jan to help improve water quality, flush sediment and films to promote new growth, support vegetation, and increase connectivity between pools for localised fish movement.

Five years of dedication has paid off.

Our recent survey at Reedy Lagoon captured 215 southern pygmy perch - mostly juveniles!

Thanks to environmental water, community-led breeding, and smart stocking strategies, this little fish is making a big comeback.

The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES) is running a national survey to understand how farmers manage land and adopt sustainable practices, with data used to improve programs and support landholders.
