Serenity can be found and savoured when watching graceful and elegant waders (or shore birds in the USA). These images from the Isles of Scilly (UK) don't really do these birds justice but wonderful to watch them feeding naturally and undisturbed at close range 😀🪶 #ukbirding @naturetrek.bsky.social

A distressing sight at Pitsford Reservoir, Northamptonshire, UK - a juvenile Cormorant hopelessly hooked and entangled in fishing garb, an all too regular event with coarse fishing permitted at this SSSI. My apologies for the heavily cropped images as it was distant...🪶😔 #anglianwater #wildlife

This male Eurasian Sparrowhawk was perched on some guttering right next to House Martin nests and refused to budge! He clearly thought if he waited long enough one would come by but on this occasion they had him spotted and stayed up in the sky and inside their nests...🪶 #birds #wildlife

A survey on the Wildlife Trust BCN reserve at Pitsford Reservoir today began early to avoid the full strength of the predicted heat. Okay up until the half way stage but then I gradually wilted! 😜 Highlights were three Otters, 16 sp butterfly, a mix of odonata and water birds...🪶
