The Trump administration is putting the lives of millions of American families on the line by refusing to fully fund SNAP.

Blocking $4B in food aid during a shutdown is cruel. There’s no other way to describe it.

A federal judge just confirmed what many of us already knew: the Trump Administration’s immigration crackdown relied on lies and excessive force. Accountability is long overdue. No one is above the law.
Border Patrol commander admitted he lied about tear gas incident, judge says, as she restricts use of force by immigration agents in Chicago
The incident involving Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino, has been a key part of the court proceedings challenging immigration tactics in Chicago.

Serving alongside Nancy Pelosi has been one of the greatest honors of my time in Congress. She broke barriers, led with strength and grace, and never stopped fighting for working families.

Madam Speaker, thank you for showing all of us what real leadership looks like.

By refusing to release food assistance, Trump is once again funding welfare for billionaires, turning his back on hungry families.

Parents are skipping meals so their kids can eat, and seniors are stretching a can of soup for days. Trump is choosing hunger over humanity.

Our communities are facing the largest SNAP cut in history & this government shutdown is making hunger worse. With 42% of our neighbors relying on SNAP, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Speaker Johnson needs to stop canceling work. I’m fighting to open the government, protect SNAP, & lower costs.

Today, I joined my Inland Empire colleagues at a local food bank to shine a light on the Trump Administration blocking SNAP benefits for millions of families. No one should go hungry, and I will keep fighting until every family gets the food they deserve. #SNAP #InlandEmpire

While millions went hungry, Trump threw a ‘Great Gatsby’ party at Mar‑a‑Lago, with half-naked women dancing for billionaires.

Families in the Inland Empire and across the country don’t need parties. They need food, dignity, and leaders who put people first.

"How these agents are acting is blatant, irresponsible, and in total disregard for the humanity of American citizens.”

Our community gathered in candlelight to honor Deputy Andrew Nuñez, standing shoulder to shoulder with his family as we remembered his service and sacrifice. I’m grateful to every neighbor who came out to lift them up with love, strength, and support.

There must be a full, transparent investigation with immediate updates. DHS statements can’t be taken at face value. The public deserves to see the body-camera footage, security footage, and all witness accounts. Accountability isn’t optional; it’s demanded.

The government’s been shut down for 23 days.

Americans are going hungry, missing paychecks, and losing health care.

Yet Trump’s priority? Building a $300M East Wing for himself.

At my Senior Healthcare Town Hall, one thing was clear: our seniors are scared. Trump’s cuts to essential healthcare programs would hit them, and working families, the hardest. It’s time for Republicans to come back to the table and end this shutdown.

Ontario International Airport is too important to be dragged into politics. I led a letter demanding that Ontario International Airport remove a partisan DHS video that violates federal law. Taxpayer dollars cannot be used for political propaganda. No institution is above the law.
