Tonight in “war ravaged” Portland… a frog brigade standing guard outside the ICE facility.

Trump says there’s “nowhere worse than Portland”… and the frogs magically multiply.

They’re showing that he’s not only a liar, but Portland is still safe, still weird and still full of people resisting.

"I cannot say this strongly enough: until 2026, only two things stand between the authoritarian project and its objectives: the judiciary and a popular protest movement. We have no control over the former. We must not surrender, or abandon, the latter."
To understand this weekend, you need to understand who the audiences for both the parade and the protests are. www.thebulwark.com/p/no-kings-n...
No Kings. No Surrender.
Shows of force can work both ways.

Protesters need to get a lot more strategic: Assemble, disrupt, draw LE in, immediately disband and reorganize in a different area, and repeat.

Make them spend a ton of money and manpower chasing "Ghost Demonstrations" while denying them the confrontation they're looking for.

I notice people calling what we’re seeing these last couple of days “riots.” I was here during the 1992 Los Angeles riots. That’s not what this is.

Local police can handle this, but ICE needs to back off—especially with these amateur hires who don’t know what the f*ck they’re doing.

I love strawberries. Who doesn’t.

But I don’t know how many times I have to try strawberry ice cream to remember I hate strawberry ice cream.

Anyway today was fun

The series finale of Handmaids Tale had be ugly crying. Like, I was audibly sobbing. At one point I started laughing at myself like jfc get a grip, Nora.

It’s been a favorite book since when I was 15 and Im really gonna miss the show - that’s how good it was. I may even miss the extreme closeups.

Holy SHIT I got chills and saw our next democratic leader in full effect fuck yes
AOC: I saw on Fox, Jeanine Pirro says that they found so many babies and two year olds and four year olds receiving social security. I got a notice for you Jeanine Pirro: those babies receive social security because their parents died. That’s not a waste. That’s humanity. That’s America.

What Cory Booker just did was incredible, and he ended it perfectly. If you haven’t seen the John Lewis documentary “Good Trouble”, go watch it. I’m rewatching it now. It’s so, so good.
