For all the stupid crap Spotify keeps pulling I'm thankful they still have a 24kbps HE-AACv2 quality tier. It doesn't sound great but it works well with a 1GB/month data cap.

I tried VLC on Android again, it still causes stuttering when subtitles are turned on. It's so close to being the perfect video player on Android, mpv-android has a very barebones UI. Next Player is based on Exoplayer which can't handle Advanced SubStation subs.

I found a technical review of the Sony IER-EX15C by a Korean blogger, they say it has an open design that lets outdoor sound pass through. Sounds like it's good for taking on walks where I need to have spatial awareness.

I factory reset my new old Galaxy S24 so I could set it back up properly after dealing with Xfinity, turns out that screws up RCS so you have to deactivate RCS and reactivate RCS and then it'll work 💀
