Is the ambient pedal steel zone oversaturated?!?!? Not if there are new records as good as this one. doomandgloomfromthetomb.tumblr.com/post/8055488...

In April 2024, Spotify implemented a new scheme: songs with less than 1k streams per year would no longer receive royalties.

The data for 2025 was just released via Luminate, and 88% of songs have been demonetized.

Some loose, private press, rural hippy rock from a communal living arrangement recorded in 1973. Right up my alley.

Their best tune by some distance for my money.

If you called your album Electric Hi-Life (or some variation of) and released it between 1972-1990, I will buy it.

What’s great about running a record label where you just release whatever the fuck you want is you go from one release being ambient pedal steel tape experiments to the next being stripped back and tough jungle / breakbeat. Believe it if you need it!

Ah man, what a treat to have one of our records be highlighted on one of the great, great blogs Doom and Gloom from the Tomb! Cheers Tyler!

Now on to 10-27-79. An absolutely great early Brent era show. Bobby on ripe form, a ripping Jack Straw, a killer Minglewood, big time Lost Sailor > Saint.

Absolutely ripping some Dead, drinking some wine, cooking up a ragu. The way it was meant to be done. 7-14-70 for the heads. Here’s to you Bob.
