Fourth panel: Vander approaches Silco, smiling at him. He says: "Hi! Silco, right? Can I have one?" Silco looks at him, a little taken aback, and replies "Uh? Ah... sure.". The voice of the older man comments: "... well. I tried to warn him." Fifth panel: Their fingers brush as Vander takes a flier. Silco says: "We meet up twice a week, uh..." to which Vander introduces himself simply saying "Vander". The flier shows the words "OUR ZAUN DESERVES RESPECT. WE ARE ALL BROTHERS UNDER PILTOVER'S REGIME". The older man comments: "Eh- it will probably be fine." B&W illustration. A whisp of smoke shows moments of Vander and Silco's shared life and history. Them looking at each other, Felicia dancing, Silco throwing the granade, Vander attacking Silco in the Pilt, older Vander and older Silco back to back, Silco's scar visible, Vi and Jinx's silhouettes as they fight, and finally Vander and Silco happily together again in the AU. The man's voice leaves a final comment: "After all... what's the worst that could happen?"

"Content" is a blatantly misleading term to use for fanworks. Fanworks are the antithesis of content; content is produced for individual gain and consuming, whereas fanworks are created out of inspiration and the communal experience.

I received this email about Democrats caving to end the shutdown from one of the SNAP recipients I spoke to:
I'm sorry, I know this is not your problem, but I just felt like screaming into a void seeing that now Dems may cave and end the shutdown without getting anything they were supposedly fighting for. We've been put through hell for weeks, constantly having our ability to simply feed ourselves dangled in front of our faces, our survival used as a bargaining chip, told it was for a reason. Our suffering would prevent even more suffering and that it would be temporary and worth it to save healthcare for millions. And now it's all for nothing. They stood for nothing. They caused suffering for no reason. They'll cause even more suffering for no reason. It wasn't 40 million people starving that made them cave. They were willing to put up with that. But the threat of holiday traveling being disrupted seems to be the thing to push them to give in. They have failed everyone. I'm so angry.

The usual assumption has been that watching violence makes people more aggressive, but aggressive people are also drawn to watching violence. Moreover, another entirely independent factor may be causing both. Some children are born with a mental or emotional predisposition toward violence; or learn it as toddlers from the way they are treated by abusive parents or siblings; or in other ways develop aggressiveness as a personality trait. In turn, this trait or predisposition manifests itself in both their aggressive behavior and their liking for watching violence or playing aggressive games (Bushman, 1995; Ferguson, 2013). In an experiment investigating the interaction between temperament and exposure to violence, children watched either a film depicting a great deal of police violence or an exciting but nonviolent film about bike racing. They then played a game of floor hockey. Watching the violent film did increase the number of aggressive acts the children committed during the hockey game- but primarily by those who had previously been rated as highly aggressive by their teachers. These kids hit others with their sticks, threw elbows, and yelled aggressive things at their opponents to a much greater extent than did either the kids rated as nonaggressive who had also watched the violent films or the kids rated as aggressive who had watched the nonviolent film (Josephson, 1987). Likewise, a few longitudinal studies have shown that exposure to violence in media or video games has the strongest relationship in children who are already predisposed to violence (Anderson & Dill, 2000). Thus, it may be that watching media violence merely server to give them permission to express their aggressive inclinations (Ferguson & Kilburn, 2009). The same conclusi
