In my youth, I used to sing as I walked in public, hoping a man would hear me and fall in love with my weakness. None did. Now I am white coal, flowing, renewable. Which is not to say I'm experienced in earthly matters; I am only charwood. In this charred land no law forbids music, but…

Dystopian — the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner lays out the real estate deal where Trump and his friends will profit from the destruction of Gaza, where people continue to die from Israeli bombs (supplied by 🇺🇸) to this day.

The United Arab Emirates and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have committed to joining Trump’s so-called Board of Peace in Gaza. Netanyahu is wanted for war crimes committed during Israel’s war on Gaza.

I remember, when this album first came out, one twitter user said "This isn't an ordinary [pop] album, it should be played in Cathedrals and shit."
And he was right, there is something hallowed about it.

Wednesday morning, sickest I've been in years. Food poisoning or the flu, who knows. Details too gross to mention. I'm fine now, slept it off. Grateful that no matter how old I get I can count on my mom to pause her busy schedule and drive me to the hospital, and so avoid an ambulance.

This excerpt from Abba's 1978 concert in Japan is wonderful because the Japanese backup dancers are SO INTO IT. I think I spy a little Bob Fosse-inspired choreography in "Tiger". #ABBA #music #1970s #Japan www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBCj...

I love how "like a gong" feels like a mallet being swung in the air to strike the gong and the shimmery sound of it afterwards

I also love this last line and how it plays so well juxtaposing "everything," without which it loses a lot of meaning IMO
