Hey, Linatics. Some bad news: Woke up to a sore throat and I have no idea what's causing it. I feel mostly better after eating, but I don't wanna chance damaging my throat with a stream full of voice acting, so I think I'll take a rest night in order to be ready for the PSP stream tomorrow.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A + Mega Dimension DLC

This game was such a mixed bag for me. I wasn't a fan of the limited amount of environments to explore, with almost everything simply being cityscapes, and the traversal in the city felt really limiting and hard to navigate. Even after gaining a new jump ability kept the city feeling really hard to explore. The real-time combat wasn't much better, but I appreciated the changes to the battle system to make it much more involved and required more attention on my part. The biggest issue really was the lock-on system that was required to perform moves, even ones that don't involve targeting the opponent. And the biggest boon that Legends: Arceus offered (that being its refined catching system that made catching so much more fun) was sadly far less impressive here, due to the changes in environment, items, and battle system. However, the greatest aspect of Legends Z-A is definitely its cast of characters. While some may find them divisive, I found the cast extremely charming and with a ton of personality and character. The narrative was repetitive, but I found myself always enthralled due to the involvement of characters I couldn't help but find relatable and fun to be around. Easily helped me find closure in how I did not care for the story/characters of X/Y, Legends Z-A I will remember for its characters and their relationship with me, the player character. 7/10
