Never seen a stink bug this color before.
What I assume is a brown marmorated stink bug sits on a gray-painted wood railing. The bug is about 1/3” across and faces to the right. It is dark gray with shite speckles.

Daffodils are coming up. This is insane. Daffodils don’t come up in December. I was outraged when they were up in January, and this is worse.

Small yellow mushroom.

Frustrating that I couldn’t get the phone camera to focus on the mushroom. Great detail on the leaf, though.
Three tiny orange mushrooms grow in wet green grass and moss next to a red fallen oak leaf. The cap of the largest mushroom is flat and the edges are wavy. The middle of the largest mushroom is darker than the rest of the cap.

Geese. For as far as the eye can see…
A pond covered (literally) with Canada geese. These are the small size, about as big as a large mallard. And very very noisy. Green and yellow trees are visible in the background, with large very dark-green oaks visible behind them. The sky is cloudy and pale blue.

Pollinator pollinating. I have no idea what this is, but it has wasp-wings.

Lewd animal.

Best thing about May is the wild roses. Still my favorite flower for sniffing.
