I think about this very often.

reminder that if i see you telling ppl to "kys" in any way, i will block you. this applies across the board, even if they're evil ppl. not bc they don't "deserve" it, but bc for a person with constant background ideation who has lost a loved one to suicide, you are an unsafe person to be around.

White people need to understand that minimizing and empathizing with your racist friends serves to gaslight and oppress their victims.

And that "something else" you usually assume is going on quickly turns against the victim to determine why they "deserved" to get hate crimed.

Dunno if I'm alone in this but I've noticed that when I encounter someone who is actually, for real, straightforwardly racist... I tend to assume there's something else going on? Like surely the answer isn't simply "they hate these people." Like they're trying to be edgy or performative.

Gestern hat 1 Tesla-Fahrer mich mit Hilfe eines zufällig vorbeikommenden Radfahrers angehalten und die Polizei gerufen, weil er dachte, ich hätte einen Anti-Tesla-Flyer hinter seine Scheibenwischer geklemmt.
Es war sehr lustig auf diese traurige Art, auf die solche Interaktionen lustig sein können.
