NEW EPISODE

Another great article from Adam. “Too often, school leaders assume that all that’s required is to “say the thing” or “write the thing.” To have done an inset on the thing or to have written a policy about the thing and magically the thing is now in play.”

“Planning is a teacher thinking about the material and how best this can be taught to a particular real life flesh-and-blood class.

AI cannot do this.”

Timely read in the same week my district sent me the suggestion that I use A/I to “help” me plan.

Sorry if this is weird, but if you're heading back from mat leave and you're a bit nervous about it, please feel free to message me.

I went back to work when my little boy was five months old and moved into SLT. It was a really lonely time, so I'd like to help if you're in the same boat! #UKEd

Whilst working on maters to support staff I am reminded this of how difficult I find putting into words what effective practice looks like and the reasoning behind strategies. Blogs, threads and books are a real aid to me. So thank you and keep ‘em coming!

Just posted new blog on Bluesky and not (yet) on Twitter. Be interesting to see engagement. Will I fold and put it on Twitter too? Please help me avoid the temptation by reposting here!

I’ve been listening to various podcasts about Robert Hooke. A remarkable character that I’d like to know more about. Can anyone recommend any books about the man himself or about the extraordinary things happening in the scientific world during his time?
