After having read 13 Dog Man books with my daughter, I have firmly established voices for all of the characters. Now I find out there's a movie and Pete Davidson is Petey the cat? No. Petey is clearly more of a Marc Maron and anyone with any sense would know that.

Have y’all watched the Lilith Fair documentary yet? I might have teared up thinking of all those memories, including driving down from Cincinnati to Atlanta with my dad to see two shows on consecutive days! I often bemoan getting old, but I really think I was born at the perfect time.

I scooped these up for a great deal at an estate sale and I have to say that this is one of the best days of my life.

This is a 7th birthday gift for a girl who loves horses. Some parts of it were pretty difficult for me but I feel like I learned a lot! #crochet #amigurumi

The end goal is clearly to have the US only be populated by the world’s wealthiest people (see Trump’s comments about welcoming Russian oligarchs) and kill off or deport all others, and I don’t think that’s an exaggeration. But how will they remain rich after cutting off the rest of the world?

Every single time I get a notice from my kid’s school that they held a lockdown drill I feel numb the rest of the day. I will never get used to those emails.

I made this baby cheetah for my daughter’s friend’s fifth birthday. I’m getting better! The head was a PITA to sew on and I wish it was looking up a bit more but I think it’s cute overall. #crochet #amigurumi

I think what I find most delightful about Bluey is that they 100% live and act like humans until they do something that suddenly reminds you they’re dogs. Muffin having to wear a cone was an amazing storyline.

It’s supposed to be a cat but @meganhg.bsky.social says it looks like a hamster. This is my first ever attempt at amigurumi (a word I just learned a week ago) and I don’t even want to admit how many times I had to start over.

In my 8 winters living on a New England boarding school campus I have noticed a change in clothing trends. The Canada Goose uniform has largely been replaced by kids just wearing hoodies, even in 15 degree temps.

I like a good amount of hand holding when learning new things, so I decided to subscribe to an Annie’s Kit Club to learn a bunch of crochet stitches. This will be an afghan with 30 different stitch patterns. I struggled a ridic amount with my stitch count in the second stripe so it got a bit fuzzy.

I resolved to work on my unfinished projects. But also, tonight seemed like the time I absolutely needed to learn to crochet granny squares with the yarn I had left over from the blanket I made. Happy new year!
