For a long time I wondered how Yoshi would even fit in this movie, why he'd be introduced in Super Mario Galaxy. Now I think I have the answer.
They're gonna parallel Mario & Luigi taking care of Yoshi with Rosalina taking care of the Lumas. You can even throw in Bowser taking care of Bowser Jr.
