Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (Super Donkey Kong 2) was released in Japan on this date 30 years ago! If the original DKC was everything I had wanted in a game at the time, DKC2 was what pushed me over the line as a lifelong DK and Rare obsessive. The greatest 2D platformer of all time!

Also can we talk about how bad the Switch 2 battery drain is in handheld mode? I didn't notice it that much with DK Bananza, but my god I needed to be practically tethered to a plug all the time while playing Pokémon ZA....
