If your child is "in pain" because of this, it's because you as a parent told a cruel lie and made a major failing as a parent. I used to be more compassionate to parents with indoctrinated children but I'm too fed up now. Societal sanity's been crippled because you couldn't say "no". Enough.
Today’s announcement from Girlguiding to reverse their previous trans-inclusive policy will come as painful news for many families.

We know GirlGuiding has worked for years to include trans girls and to offer them the same opportunities as their peers.

My mood these days fluctuates constantly between deep existential and raw emotional introspective pain and "I really want chicken nuggets for some reason ❤️"

It's a testament to the power of sunlight as a disinfectant that over here in blue-skied TRA central, there's notable quiet around Helen Webberley.

My ex came over to pick up kitchen stuff today and I was obscenely civil and helpful and that means I get a takeaway curry for tea tonight.

X is crashing constantly today. A...um...friend of mine might have been asking Grok to write erotica for her amusement lately and is sorry if this is what's caused it.

A sweet little mouse who I was very fond of (christened with a name) was keeping me company in my flat. She was giving me about 9 jump scares a day making me think (out of the corner of my eye) she was a huge hairy spider. I haven't seen her today and fear the neighbour's cat is to blame :(

In the past week I've seen 2 very good but different films. Black comedy "The Roses" and dystopian thriller "The Long Walk". It's rekindled my love of going to the cinema, whether alone or with friends.

I'm thrilled to have an essay in Fairer Disputations, a sex-realist feminist journal.
In it, I explore how society went from not taking adolescent girls seriously at all to taking their political "wisdom" way, way too seriously, and why both extremes stem from the same sexism.
