I spent 2:00-7:45 in the ER today with my mom. It wasn’t a bad experience, but we waited a lot. She’s probably OK for now and she’ll call a specialist Friday. Happy New Year, I’m going to bed soon

I’m pretty sure that the amount of alcohol it takes to relax my brain and my shoulders is an indication that I should talk to someone… yet, I’m 100% sure that if I lived in any other civilized place, I’d be totally fine

I just spent around two hours with my (deceased) cousin’s children on Facetime. I used to love kids- went to school to be a teacher, was a camp counselor, etc.
One of them calls me sometimes, and I’m not the same guy I was, but I remember the joy of children. I’m glad they call.

I spent the afternoon/evening with my mom and my ex-gf (obvsly, we’re cool). Mom had a gallstone blocking her bile duct and holy shit, does that cause a lot of trouble. Her liver function numbers need to improve, then she can go home. Fingers crossed.
