There’s a common sense that exhaustion is a personal failure, as if fatigue reveals something lacking in the individual. This belief is shaped by a culture that turns productivity into morality and teaches people to interpret structural pressure as private weakness.

Internalized capitalism makes people think, ‘Why should I care if someone on the other side of the world loses their SNAP benefits? It doesn’t affect me.’ But that’s not how it works. Everything is connected, and their struggle is part of a bigger system that affects us all.

When I hurt someone’s feelings, it bothers me more than when someone hurts mine. It’ll probably come off as virtue signaling, but that’s just how my mind works lol

A system that calls feeding the poor an ‘irreparable harm’ fears losing money more than people losing meals. It’s not broken actually. It’s working exactly as designed. ‘Food stamp socialism’ is just capitalism managing its own hunger.
