DCM is just a framework for estimating the statistical evidence for state-space models, which are fitted to time series data using Bayesian methods. Each model is a hypothesis. So the question is, what's the right data and models for your question. [1/5]

Read on the recent metascience retraction at NHB and how the authors have not been forthcoming with the truth, how they ended up engaging in many practices and decisions they would call QRPs themselves, and how due to power dynamics only their false framing gets media coverage (with one exception).
This is a very reluctant part II in a series of blog posts on the Protzko retraction. The first was motivated by the authors misleading in a .pdf, and this one around false statements in the WSJ, Die Zeit, Nature, and on @spencrgreenberg.bsky.social's podcast.
