I feel like it often gets glossed over, but GameChat is an incredibly underrated feature of the #Switch2 in my opinion. I don't use a video camera or microphone with it, but being able to screenshare with your friends is a great way to enable parallel play remotely.

I finally finished Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake last month, and this week I started DQ I & II HD-2D Remake. I'm really starting to fall in love with this series. @108.bsky.social put it best when he said "Dragon Quest is bedtime stories." It really is!

Played Bravely Default for the first time tonight, by way of the HD remaster on Switch 2, and I've got to say, it's fantastic! I should have played it ages ago.

Another observation that I haven't seen much discussion about yet: it seems #Switch2 silently fixes performance problems and improves loading speed in Switch 1 games even without a patch. I've captured some comparison footage using #AtelierYumia, a game known for its awful performance on Switch.

I also gave #NintendoSwitch2WelcomeTour a try, and I came away feeling quite impressed with the mouse controls. The joycons work really, really well as mice. Also, HD Rumble 2 is quite an improvement over Switch 1. The minigames in Welcome Tour do a great job of showing off the system's features.

My initial feelings on #MarioKartWorld are much more mixed. It's got to be one of, if not the, best looking and sounding Mario Kart game yet. But, as someone who has played every Mario Kart game before it...I think the game initially feels very poor to play. Maybe I just need to get used to it.

My initial feelings on the Nintendo #Switch2 console are positive. The larger joycons feel much better in the hands, and I love how the Pro Controller's stick doesn't slam against the shell anymore. Downloads are much faster, and seeing TOTK at 60fps is almost surreal.

I never managed to get a preorder for one, so I showed up to GameStop today in hopes of getting a #Switch2 console. I did manage to get one, but I was near the back of the line. While checking out they told me there would be trivia an hour before launch, and that the winner would get theirs first.

A cool detail about the new Nintendo Switch system update is that games with more than 5 but fewer than 10 hours of gameplay now show the specific hour count of playtime. Before the update this said "Played for 5 hours or more", but now it more specifically shows 8 hours of playtime.

The Switch 2 looks cool. On one hand I'm glad its announcement might finally shut up the leakers for a little while, but on the other hand its time to brace ourselves for a torrent of awful opinions from people who think they're obligated to share an opinion on everything. #canyoualljustshutupplease

In my Nintendo Switch Year in Review, I was surprised to learn that out of the 332 hours of games I played on Switch, 196 of them were #splatoon3. Whew. I also expected the #fzero99 number to be higher than 12 hours, as well.

I went to the local Asian market to pick up some gochujang, and when I was at the register I spotted these Splatoon 3-branded candies! As soon as I saw them I knew I had to pick them up. They are apparently Grape Soda-flavored. When I try them I will be sure to report back! #splatoon3 #candy

Tertiary annoyance: none of the non-Asian markets near me seem to sell gochujang. I'm surprised that isn't ubiquitous at this point tbh

Sleep has been hard to come by lately. Stress levels are so high anymore that it hadn't occurred to me that the sleep issue could be caused by the lowkey sickness I've had since October at this point, rather than the other way around.
Yeah, it's probably time to call the doctor.

New handle, who dis? Apparently setting up a custom domain only requires a TXT record for DNS validation. It's super simple to set up. I'm not sure why, but I expected it to require more than just that.

I already have more followers here than I ever did on Twitter. And even then, 1/4 of those followers over there were spam bots at any given moment. It's just so wild how much noisier that place was.
