Hello all! 👋🌱 I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m a year-round vegetable gardener from Nova Scotia, an award-winning author of 4 books on food gardening, a magazine and newspaper columnist, and a longtime radio host. I’m also one of the experts behind SavvyGardening.com 😊
This pic from my 4th book, Growing Under Cover, shows some of the diversity of the winter greens I harvest; lettuce, mizuna, mache, and beet greens. Other fave winter crops include scallions, kale, carrots, leeks, and arugula to name a few. What do you pick over winter? ❄️

Lovely to still be harvesting hot and sweet peppers and tomatoes from my unheated greenhouse in mid-November, as well as fingerling potatoes from my raised garden beds. 😊 What are you still enjoying from your vegetable garden?
