I was playing through Doom: The Dark Ages and while I love the soundtrack, I had an idea to check out how it would match up with my band's (Nihil Quest) music. I altered colors of the footage to suit my style a bit better as well.

Doom Dark Ages has tons of menu settings. I just needed one: language. But no... the solution is to change Windows language, or maybe edit .ini file (LOL). JFC, I'm not playing Doom with a Polish dubbing. I'm on Xbox gamepass... but not for long I think.

I love Ian Anderson but he needs an actual singer for Jethro Tull. I checked the new record and he sounds like he's afraid his neighbors will hear him. And that's a studio recording! It's hard to get into music with vocals like that. Badass flute playing doesn't save it

Technically, not my kind of Sabbath at all. BUT, this album is such an awesome oddity and getting an alternative mix from Steven Wilson makes it even more interesting. I must say this album grew on me immensely.

Playing Gabriel Knight. MT32 sounds like elevator music to me. I get it, it was impressive back in the day, to have this in a video game, but it doesn't sound like a game to me, and it doesn't sound like real music either. It's muzak sound. Still, do I want Adlib instead? Uhhh... #retrogaming

The amount of ridicule I see online that goes towards AI is astonishing. It's like one big meme. Is it just my info bubble? I imagine at this point it must be hard to be a CEO that goes on stage on some trade show and tries to get people excited about AI when people are so fed up with it already.

Liking Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy game has to be the weirdest, most surprising thing that happened to me this year. I tried it out of professional curiosity just to check out how it runs and how the sound is done. It's so much better than the first movie!

Universal buying the distributor CDbaby (which is the middleman between the artist and streaming sites) is just another catastrophe in the indie bands market. There's no escape from the corpo world, unless you want to distribute your music only on CDs or wax cylinders.

I had such a traumatic experience with the game Gabriel Knight 3 I suspect I might have been cursed. I have to live responding to every GK3 thread I see, telling everyone how I thought it sucked so badly all these many years ago. Surely, everyone should know by now!

YT fed me a video of a millennial guy lamenting that alpha kids are not into video games because they prefer Tik Tok. Hilarious. I'm old enough to remember the same thing about books and television. I wonder if gaming is going to be like stamp collecting in the future.
