In recent months, a significant amount of time has been devoted to our database of employees of the MGH since their founding in 1819. We are currently focused on documenting the genesis of our editions. All MGH editors will be included shortly. Have a look!

Now we see if any American tabloid can match the Bild headline, when Ratzinger was made pope: "Wir sind Papst!"

New pope selection coming. I'm rembering a lunch conversation with Catholic colleagues when Cardinal Ratzinger was chosen. This was Munich, and they had strong opinions about him. I said, "There must be something good you can say." Brief, gloomy pause. "He's very old."

Oddly, I thought I had the first of those settings on already, but when I checked, it was off. Could the choice have got lost in some update?
As Bluesky has grown, I've seen a lot of backsliding on alt text. Please try to be considerate to others and include alt text with all of your images. It helps everyone. Indeed, in the "accessibility" setting in Bluesky you can set it to make sure you add alt text, which is a useful thing to do.

A riddle from 1994 (but the answer hasn't changed). I'll post the answer later if nobody guesses.

tempus edax rerum? sed et est, qui tempora mandat.
legibus hic versis post mortem vivit egetque
lustra per omnia adhuc vita, dum crescit in aevum.
