It’s one month until I turn 30 and I recently found an old childhood diary listing ten things I wanted to accomplish in my twenties.

Currently, only two goals left:
1. Study for a PhD (in progress)
2. Finish a KFC bargain bucket by myself

I’m glad to see my younger self had big ambitions... 😅

Feeling so grateful to be named on this year’s 30 Under 30 list by The Young Women’s Movement for my work in educational equity and disability awareness – it was wonderful celebrating alongside so many inspiring women from across Scotland on Saturday evening! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿📢💛

Chapter edits were a lost cause this afternoon, so I braved the weather for pumpkin spice doughnuts to fuel my horror movie marathon. Halloween: complete! 🎃🍩👻

People-watching at Queen Street station on a Saturday evening near Halloween is quite an experience.

Is there anything sweeter on a Friday afternoon than realising you’ve already drafted the thing you thought you’d be spending the rest of the day on? I think not.

Grateful to have spent a week at the University of Warsaw’s Current Debates in Publishing Studies Summer School earlier this month – a fantastic programme of insightful sessions, engaging discussions and even some sightseeing…

USW have posted a response on their instagram which does little to explain why the wording of this email is openly discriminatory to Palestinians. It is shocking that anyone in Higher Education would think this is an appropriate email to send to a student.

I would read an academic murder book in which the murder was solved by reading the syllabus
I love this idea and also want a list of academic murder books. Please reply with recs
Hear me out: a dark academia murder book that opens at a department beginning-of-the-year celebration on a boat (I know a department that does this) and a professor goes overboard. The intrepid department chair must figure out who did it. Everyone is a suspect, including the chair herself.
