This is also why the idea of “nationalizing” our elections is so dangerous. (Decentralization is key to security.)
One of the most basic tenets of election security is to avoid creating a Single Point of Failure (SPF). Unfortunately, it appears that SCOTUS created a potential SPF by sanctioning DOGE’s access to SSA databases, which are now a key component of Trump’s voter purge election strategy. 1/

ICE generally doesn't comply with their orders, and continues to engage in the same unlawful conduct.

The decisions amount to a huge legal rebuke, one the administration has ignored.

Yes it’s Valentine’s Day. But it’s also the chosen birthday of Frederick Douglass who was born in 1818 on a plantation in Talbot County, Maryland. He escaped from slavery & rose to become the most eloquent and forceful voice for the abolition of slavery & for Black voting rights in the U.S.

Most Real IDs do *not* prove citizenship. (EDLs, which are available in only 5 states are an exception) The GOP’s “SAVE” Act thus misleads when it says voters can prove citizenship w/ “a form of ID issued consistent with the reqmts of…REAL ID…that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the US…” 1/
