Twins never seemed to think much of Ryan Fitzgerald. Didn't invite him to camp last spring, waited a while to give him a shot, now they've DFA'd him for a fringy pickup in Eric Wagaman.

This year marked the 20-year anniversary of my first Twins blog post, and also my 40th birthday. Strange to realize I've been doing this baseball content thing for half my life. Would've burned out long ago if not for the community and connections I've found.

My guess it that Josh Bell will play primarily DH, because I can't imagine the Twins are going to want his glove at 1B much if they're trying to improve defensively. But that's a legit and much-needed bat added to the lineup.

Josh Bell is guaranteed $7 million through his one-year contract. He will receive a $5.5 million base salary in 2026 and a $225,000 signing bonus. There is a $1.25 million buyout on a 2027 mutual option.

If Twins want to hold Ryan & Lopez but still trade from their SP depth, I wonder if they're getting calls on Simeon Woods Richardson. If I'm another team, his steady track record + strong finish last year would pique my interest.

I know the Twins are mostly gonna wait out RP market and that's fine, but if serious about trying to compete next year, they have to go get one standout FA before they're all signed. Right?? Someone like Luke Weaver or Pete Fairbanks would at least give a baseline of legitimacy.

Something has gotta give with the pitching on the Twins 40 man roster. I can’t conceive that they will enter the spring expecting Zebby, Abel and Festa to all open in Triple-A. There’s going to be at least one trade from the SP group.

Hard to overstate the magnitude of MLB draft lottery this week for the Twins. They can get a good player wherever they end up, but if they get the #1 pick (22% chance) they'll have a shot at Roch Cholowsky, who's been called the best college SS prospect since Tulowitzki.

Not normally a turn-based RPG guy so it took me a while but I finally gave Expedition 33 a try and, yeah, I instantly got the hype. This game has fully consumed me. Everything is top tier: the combat, the world, the story, and especially the MUSIC!

In some ways the constant whining about the Pohlads feels very tired and played out. At the same time, there's no real way to talk about this team without starting there. The message from Falvey has been crystal clear: we are at the mercy of ownership.

At this point I'm operating under the assumption Buxton will be traded. There's just too much smoke around this "maybe willing to waive his NTC" stuff from a guy who was once so vocally not willing. Reminds me of leadup to the Correa trade.

Have to disagree with the assertion from Passan here. Maybe it's "fascinating" for fans of other teams who are eager to scoop up our good players, but interest in the Twins has never been lower for myself and almost everyone I know. www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/...

Just a mega-bummer watching Byron Buxton and Justin Jefferson, two of the top 5 most talented/exciting MN sports stars of our generation, waste good years of their primes on bad teams with no support.
