Not *all* social media algorithms need to be powered by multi-GB machine learning models to be really useful.
The simple (but very powerful) new "What's Hot" feed was implemented by @dholms.xyz in under 100 lines of code!
Being easy to understand is a really great feature for social algorithms.

i’m trying to dunk less but this is just so stupid. i will note also that this same guy has insane cryptocurrency brainworms, i think last year he called it the biggest threat to democracy or something. he is a rabid anti-decentralization/protocol innovation op that somehow gets invited to ted talks

This app is like those cafes in greece or italy where you find retired old guys sitting outside all day, and before you know it someone is telling you about soup or why his moped is making a funny sound
