Great to be in #EGU25 this week. A busy few days of research on methane emissions, landfill measurement and #sci4pol so far…and we’re only half way through!

No, *you* just got distracted for ages seeing all the different ways your name can be written in Landsat images. 🤩🤓

The term #transdisciplinary / #transdisciplinarity gets thrown around a lot in research circles, but rarely do those using it actually mean it in its strictest sense.

🚨📖 Check out our latest paper which shows the ungrounding, irreversible retreat and substantial mass loss of a 1940s Pine Island Glacier in response to changes in melt conditions🚨 This is the 2nd paper out of my PhD so I would love some help increasing its reach 🙏 tc.copernicus.org/articles/18/...

I feel like this book by Erica Thompson should be required reading for all modelling PhD students. It provides a clarity and perspective I wish I’d read right at the beginning.

Super interesting and something I’m sure I’ll continue to dip back into over time. 💯% recommend!

Feels like I’ve picked two very appropriately named books after handing in my modelling PhD thesis. 😴🏃🏼‍♀️😅

SUBMITTED...! 🤯

What a ride. 🎢

Before I fall into that sweet post-submission hibernation (😍🥱) I'm excited to say that in the new year I'll be moving on to Defra to work as a Senior Scientific Officer in their Resources and Waste Division. Looking forward to what's next!

Delighted to see so many new users here! I have tips. First is: check out all the settings and make sure they’re right for you. You can turn on threaded mode for a more chronological experience, filter out replies from people you don’t follow, etc. Also you can change your moderation settings 1/x

Hi folks! Let’s see what this is about then. 🟦

I’m finishing up my PhD in modelling the estuarine transport of microplastic using Delft3D, MATLAB and Python (💻 not 🐍).

I’m interested in all things environment, pollution, waste and climate.
