An important round of applause 👏👏👏 for all you people that are still commissioning humans.
You got good souls :)
Again for those at the back.

There are lots of people (including me) that are finding it very hard to get work. This is in part to the places that used to pay artists now wanking off to AI.

It aint cool or funny.
It's damaging to the planet & to the welfare of real people.

I’m Still Here just won the Oscar for Best International Film.
A true story of political repression set in 1970s Brazil, it has chilling resonance in 2025 USA.
Still in theaters. This film is spectacular. Don’t miss it.

Genetic determinism is a fallacy. While genes are important, environmental, social factors, and our choices play a major role. Genetics and environment interact in complex ways—our future isn’t set by genes alone

Trump and Musk are obsessed with genetics – but there’s no science behind their simplistic views | Jonathan Roberts
The US right is misrepresenting science to support its racist agenda. There’s far more to it than ‘good’ or ‘bad’ genes, says genetic counsellor Jonathan Roberts

Science is political. It wouldn't necessarily have to be partisan.

But when one party is opposed to science-based policy, scientists have a choice between saying "you're right, thoughts and prayers are probably as effective as reducing carbon emissions" or saying "fuck that."

We need to have deeper conversations about the care of elderly individuals. It’s essential to recognize the immense burden placed on families and their role in providing support. Balancing caregiving with personal well-being is a challenge that deserves more attention and understanding.

What strategies have educators been using to reduce the use of AI in student assignments?

I’d love to hear thoughts and ideas🤞🏽

Also, any suggestions for addressing this issue in teacher training programs are very welcome 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽

I've been reflecting on how important it is to respect the timing of ideas in #academicWriting 🍃

Sometimes, the right idea just isn't there yet, or it's not fully developed...

How do you know when it’s time to push forward or step back?
