A fellow fan told me that Grant Morrison once said they like to think of their ACTION COMICS run as the early adventure of ALL-STAR's Superman.
We concluded that the differences in continuity could be attributed to Vyndktvx, and that could change once Kal beat him.
This is now my headcanon ending.

So I decided to read dastardly death of the rogues again since rebirth left a bad taste in my mouth and I guess we can blame flashpoint on digger letting reverse flash out of his restraints. Digger what did you do....
I just re-read flash: rebirth and oh my god it's worse this time than the first time I read it (I read it the first time when I had no knowledge about the flash or the characters)

Smallville just cooked the entirety of pre-crisis superman story with ollie telling clark his only worry in life is protecting his own identity.
It genuinely feels like frustration over later iterations losing the power fantasy aspect of the character that defined him in the Golden Age

Smallville cooked on one of superman's archenemies, but it did not cook with brainiac. He's just eradicator. And I hate how common this is for brainiac adaptations too. STAS, MAWS, Smallville. This is not to say they're bad....well maybe STAS is but the other 2 just aren't brainy is the problem

Smallville cooked on one of superman's archenemies, but it did not cook with brainiac. He's just eradicator. And I hate how common this is for brainiac adaptations too. STAS, MAWS, Smallville. This is not to say they're bad....well maybe STAS is but the other 2 just aren't brainy is the problem

I love everything about superman and lois season 4. And this episode is no exception. Perfect Lex....very much like the superman 2000 pitch, best parts of the bendis identity reveal done even better, best jon, great jordan and even some fourth world ties

I feel like my problem with businessman lex is that they never commit to him. Like the businessman aspect is very much aesthetics. If you're going to do it it should be just as integral to his character as the clark lex friendship. Smallville does it best because they tackled class, hierarchy-
