The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Yes, Ron - they are afraid of peaceful assembly. Which is why major cities are now overrun with Federal troops. They are looking for any excuse to declare martial law.
It really is bizarre to me that every single member of GOP House leadership & the admin has decided their coordinated talking point this week is that the No Kings demonstrations this Sat are essentially acts of domestic terrorism. Are they that afraid of free & peaceful assembly?
