This is why we set up Network Rail Watch.
Government guidance (inc the Varley report) was supposed to have stopped Network Rail’s programme of mass tree felling. Charities, communities and the govt told NR not to fell millions of trees. NR agreed to stop.

Now NR has reneged on this.
This is why it is crucial to oversee Network Rail and hold them to account. Many communities around the country have good reason to believe that this is still ongoing. #trees #biodiversity #trains #networkrail #environment
