They say "you can't be what you can't see". Growing up, two friends from Melbourne found it hard to find themselves in the books they read.

Which is why they decided to open a bookstore to make culturally-diverse authors more accessible.

You can argue that race is a social construct, but racism is not. To make an argument on the technicalities behind a person’s race, especially when a review found less than a year ago that systemic racism exists within the ABC, is deeply concerning and disgusting.
