No Matt is right: When your country is descending into fascism, the most important role for journalists is to constantly police the tone and messaging of opposition movements.

I see both viewpoints of Carville and Hogg but honestly I feel the larger issue is WTF are we fighting each other? The barbarians aren't at the gate, they are controlling it, wake the f*** up everybody. Its all hands on deck time, young, old, passive, fiery, whatever. Good vs evil for real.

It's so cute the way people think Trump will care about whether things are politically popular or not. Why on earth would he? He doesn't face another election plus he has said multiple times that we won't need any more elections. It feels like people are still failing to imagine what's to come.

You can hate on “Baby it’s Cold Outside” all you want but my least favorite is “Rudolf.” It’s about an atypical being rejected by his peers until he is deemed a useful commodity by an authority figure and then lauded.
I don’t personally know Rep. Nancy Mace or Rep. Sarah McBride, and I can’t say I’ve thoroughly researched their biographies or political views. But I’ve seen enough in recent days to say this: I am very grateful to be of the party of Sarah McBride, and not that of Nancy Mace.
