Excited to announce that our lab has secured $225,000 from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) to advance our research in selective catalysis/syntheses.

Very excited to translate these funds into actionable research that accelerates synthesis within/beyond our lab!
🚨 Big news! UVic researchers receive $1.13M from CFI-JELF to advance their work in climate and health innovation. These locally grounded projects are creating global impact, from BC’s alpine ecosystems to coastal communities and beyond. 🌍

Today, we bid farewell to two fiercely talented undergraduate researchers - Mattea Cady and Adlih Britton - and celebrated with a Conference-style meeting + a trip to the Sooke Potholes! ☀️☀️

Adlih will be joining the group of @coreystephenson.bsky.social, and we excited to see her future successes!

With these cuts, the Trump administration is denying the existence of disparities affecting nearly one in 10 Americans, while conveniently ensuring there’s no paper trail proving the harm caused by its policies targeting the LGBTQ folks. Full piece (no paywall): www.bloomberg.com/opinion/arti...
The Very Idea of LGBTQ Health Is Under Attack
The Trump administration has canceled millions of dollars in grants to study disparities affecting the well-being of the community. Valuable research has been lost.

We're disappointed to see Ben Barres's powerful book "The Autobiography of a Transgender Scientist" among the ~400 titles removed from the Naval Academy Library. Needless to say, we're proud to have published his book and will keep it — and his memory — alive.
