I can never forgive this government for attempting to erase the rights of the trans community. I am angry, upset and wished there was more I could do. To every trans and nb person out there, I will always stand by you. This support may not always be obvious, but it is always there. I love you all.

DEFENDING TRIAL BY JURY

A brilliant and informative piece from @sarachitseko.bsky.social @openrightsgroup.org

“Jury trials are not just a procedural detail, they are the cornerstone of democracy. They… provide a crucial check on state power.”

With good intentions, I went through the process of becoming a registered wedding officiant in NYC, before the current presidential regime came to power. Now they want my entire life history, including my DNA, just to visit? This could destroy tourism to the US.

NEW: Five years of social media history is only a fraction of what the US Government will shortly demand of overseas visitors.

The full requirements will end tourism in the United States.

Below is the full, mind-blowing list.

"Eurovision says it stands for unity, inclusion, and dignity for all. [...] But Israel's continued participation [...] shows a clear conflict between those ideals and the decisions made by the EBU."

Solidarity with the hunger strikers.

It is an egregious violation for them to be held on remand - without trial or conviction.

All for protesting against a genocide. Shameful.

The Home Office also says it would cost too much to collect this information. It is evident that Labour, like its Tory predecessors, is making policy intended to crack down on protest rights based not on actual evidence, but on a culture war against protesters

Once a symbol of unity and hope across Europe, the Eurovision Song Contest has been turned into a pink-washing front for war criminals in Israel.

After today's decision, there must be a global boycott of Eurovision.

Eurovision members have just voted AGAINST excluding Israel from the contest.

Russia was excluded the moment they attacked Ukraine in 2022, but apparently genocide is fine if its Israel inflicting it on Palestinians.

Will the BBC tell us how they voted?
