Decades later, we still remember the exact moment when we heard the news.

And if there's one thing we should have learned that day, it is that violence isn't a solution. It is time to reflect as a country and as a society.

To friends, coworkers, acquaintances who we lost that day and since then. 🇺🇸

Prompt engineering is like using a GPS for navigating an AI model.

You define where you want to go (your goal),
provide the right inputs (your prompt and context),
and optimize your phrasing (route)
to ensure the model (navigation system)
takes you there efficiently.

Bridging the Gap: Effective Collaboration Between Product Managers and Engineers
Sarah, a product manager, and Jake, a lead engineer, face frustrations due to shifting requirements and communication gaps in tech projects. Their distinct motivations can create tension, but collaboration and understanding are key. Successful teams, like those at Gmail and Toyota, emphasize clear communication, shared goals, and user-centricity to enhance cooperation and product outcomes.

Being process-oriented vs goal-oriented has single-handedly changed how I think about things.

I wish more people believed and executed on it.

I recently discovered two excellent articles that are highly relevant to the current trends, especially with the growing interest in "outsourcing" writing tasks.

It's a well-known principle that one should never delegate one's core competencies.

When I gather up links for my newsletter, I categorize them under a taxonomy of UX sins. But I'm honestly at a loss when it comes to this bullshit, because it ticks so many boxes at once.

It's a little early for a rant, but I hope you'll oblige me.

The video stream won’t be visible to a driver in motion, but they will still be able to use many new Team features on the car’s central display

Long-form research and writing isn't going anywhere. People will continue to seek expertise, authenticity, and professionals with extensive industry experience.

AI is certainly helping with the research, and possibly with structuring the content. Curious what others think?

Recalibrate.
Restart.

It seems an overwhelming task. And perhaps it is. However, with clarity in thoughts and priorities, it’s one step after another in a given, or chosen, direction.

- It's hard to measure user outcomes and easy to measure usage of your tool, so we build for long sessions with few results instead of the reverse
- The pressure to design a "portfolio piece" that will impress hiring managers creates perverse incentives
