AI is really really good at creating really really ugly pictures. None of that here (and no photoshop either).

There is truth in real photographs, which is why AI is out to destroy real photography.
TAN, the solar aggregate ETF, is up 6.6% today. After yesterday's election the market is now pricing in Trump as powerless and irrelevant.

Has anyone else got burned by The Teaching Company? I bought over $10k in lectures from them over the years. Now they are no longer allowing me to download the lectures I paid for. I'm thinking of starting a class action suit. Anyone else?

My tiny town in Pennsylvania (pop 3000) had hundreds of people in the town square. Mostly boomers but it's mostly a town for retirees.

Two-thirds of all calls to FEMA from Kerr county survivors went unanswered. Why?

Because FEMA had laid off most of its call center workers.

It laid them off THE DAY AFTER THE FLOOD.

FYI

The best source for nuts-and-bolts reporting on the war is ISW. See the "Political Developments" section. There still is room for a diplomatic solution (but via the EU not Trump).

Google AI fucks up again!

I typed "YTD total return" into Google. The response:

"To calculate YTD, subtract the starting year value from the current value, divide the result by the starting-year value; multiply by 100 to convert to a percentage."

WRONG! This ignores dividends!

All #Tesla chargers are being removed from the New Jersey Turnpike.

They are being replaced by Applegreens. Not my favorite chargers but they work with all cars. Looks like NJT is anticipating a lot fewer Teslas on the road.

FYI my favorite chargers are Jule.

I'm still predicting #Tesla's #earnings report today will be better than expected, but it won't be due to REAL increased sales. it will be due to monkey business like THIS:

US treasuries are no longer priced at the risk-free rate, or anywhere near it.

This has terrible implications for the cost of the national debt (as opposed to the size of it).

Proof: just compare the euro vs us yield curve.
