I've finally got around to curating a selection of films about the #climate crisis 🎥

There's lot of mediocre climate films out there, but for me these stand out head & shoulders above the rest 🎞️

They make excellent resources for classrooms, lecture halls, or community cinema's 🎬

Cooking and eating together connect us beyond hunger — to memory, identity, and home.

My latest piece explores how commensality becomes care and resistance for marginalised people: medium.com/the-new-clim...
Commensality: Sharing More Than Food
Sharing food is part of many cultures, strengthening bonds of community. But for marginalised people, commensality goes deeper.

Just published in The New Climate: Will New Laws Help to ‘Green’ Almería’s Sea of Plastic?

Almería’s greenhouses look dazzling from above — but underneath lies a system struggling with plastic, waste & fragile regulations.

Will New Laws Help to ‘Green’ Almería’s Sea of Plastic?

Absolutely wild. Israel targeted and massacred 31 journalists and media staff in Yemen. The second-deadliest attack on journalists ever recorded. The Israeli regime is built on war crimes.

Norwegian salmon 🐟 + Spanish tomatoes 🍅

Both look ordinary on our supermarket shelves, but both fuel broken food chains: overfishing in West Africa, dangerous migration, and exploited labour in Europe.

A farmworker died last week after sustaining injuries during a chaotic raid on a California farm. In an op-ed, Vanessa Trujano reflects on a lesson she learned as a young farmworker: “America values immigrant labor more than actual immigrants, & so we must recognize our own worth.”
Our country does not value the people who help build, feed, and sustain it
ICE raids of farms are a cruel reminder that the U.S. has long devalued immigrant labor, while also being wholly incapable of surviving without it

His story is like that of tens of thousands, trapped in exploitative labour and forced to travel thousands of miles mostly on foot from Istanbul to southern Spain. Please read his story.
