At the dedication of the library that bears his name, Jim Hunt said: “The world doesn’t need another think tank. We need a think-and-do tank.” Think and Do has been NC State's mantra ever since.

Hunt died on Dec. 18. He was 88.

Brandon Cleveland has never lost to the Tar Heels — on the field or in the Pantry Bowl. Last month, he donated a portion of his NIL money to the Pantry Bowl, an annual friendly competition between NC State and UNC-Chapel Hill to raise money to fight food insecurity.
Giving Back for the Pack
NC State defensive line starter Brandon Cleveland is with his team in Tampa, Florida, this week for the Dec. 19 Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl, after graduating over the weekend with his degree in sport management. He leads on the field and off by supporting causes like NC State’s annual Pantry Bowl.

After this weekend's the rivalry game, longtime radio analyst Tony Haynes ’84 signed off from Carter-Finley Stadium for the last time. Haynes has spent decades as the voice of football and men’s basketball for generations of Wolfpack fans. 🎙️

NC State and East Carolina teamed up earlier this year for a good cause. Through T-shirt sales, the house divided initiative raised $17,675 for Appalachian State University and UNC Asheville — the two UNC System schools most impacted by Hurricane Helene.
