Despite no longer being a part of any organized religion, Varen still wears the cross necklace their mother bought them when they were a teenager. It's more symbolic of their familial ties now, but the original meaning rears its head if Var sits and thinks too long on it.

Hookah, trinkets of all sorts, disposable phone, water and some abandoned fruit he’ll eat more out of boredom than hunger. A lot of old books, a half used first aid kit. During main events, Johny’s leash pills, after, just vitamins and anxiolytics. And there’s aaalways a gun under his pillow.
