In Alaska—and every state—communities need the services and programs that federal library funding supports. www.adn.com/opinions/202...

Opinion: The president is dismantling an important program for Alaska libraries and museums — and Alaskans. Please help save it.
This funding supports critical infrastructure, technology, training and education and community programs for museums, cultural centers, and libraries.

A a must-read, especially for library students. Practical experience is important. Seek co-op or practicum opportunities to develop these skills. I hope library programs evolve quickly. I learned a lot of soft skills when I earned my degree. I don't want the library schools to go away.
