Made my first trip up to Barnes Air National Guard Base recently. Didn't manage to capture any F-15s in flight, but did stop to admire this beautiful memorial display aircraft positioned at the front gate.

Was hoping to see some condensation pulled out of the air by the planes in flight, but the humidity really wasn't high enough today. The clouds did make for an interesting backdrop though...

Despite seeing races on television, I can promise you the average person doesn't actually understand how fast Formula One cars really are; they think they understand, but they’re just wrong. You need to go to a race to fully appreciate their performance, it’s outrageous.
More than any other reason, I’m excited for the #LasVegasGP 🇺🇸 because someone who may never have seen an #F1 car driven in anger will experience these incredible machines firsthand, sparking an interest in motorsport that could last the rest of their lives.

As anticipated, SAFER barriers will be used at the very high-speed Turn 17 of the Las Vegas Circuit. This cross section shows the welded steel tube construction of the outer barrier and energy-absorbing polystyrene foam behind. ⤵️
