If you have an eating disorder or struggle with disordered eating, there’s a high chance your hunger cues will be all over the place. But not feeling hungry isn’t a reason not to eat, and there’s lots of ways your body might be telling you it’s hungry without a rumbly stomach: 🧵

A good 18 months in anorexia recovery but the past week suddenly hit with extreme discomfort in my body, reminding myself that the idealisation of ED I’m creating in my mind is just that and the reality is absolute hellfire. #ED #anorexia #recovery #nogoingback #futuregoals

52 cinema films in 52 weeks. Week 4, flight risk. Verdict = ok at best! Trailer showed all the best bits, other than that quite boring and long winded. Might be your cup of tea though ?

It’s the holiday season - a time of year when weight stigma runs particularly rampant - so we thought it’d be a great time to re-share this infographic debunking the myths of body mass index (BMI)!
We’ll continue to shout it from the rooftops:
‼️‼️BMI does NOT indicate health!‼️‼️

Rejection sensitivity is central to ADHD, autism, and cPTSD.

Mental health services rarely understand rejection sensitivity, which is why people in all three diagnostic categories are so often told there is something wrong with their personality.

There isn’t.

A year ago I interviewed the philosopher Simon Critchley and we talked about RD Laing the psychiatrist (or anti-psychiatrist) and we talked about the value and importance of lived experience in all understanding of fellow human beings. Here it is: youtu.be/crQAmGOUm3k?...

The lasting effects of a BPD diagnosis for me (now that I've accessed competent treatment) are that I don't accept help well. Because when I have "normal" emotions within hard parts of changing, I hear an internalized voice saying I'm bad & manipulative. The negativity brings me down on myself.

My experience:

Team had concerns organisation had harmed a patient
I raised them
After 3 days told I was being investigated for misconduct
Asked to change notes detailing teams concern about harm
Cleared after 6 months
Patient never told of concerns
Commissioners never told of harms

I’m concerned the shift to Bluesky may impact the response to the government’s #whitepaper ‘Get Britain Working,’ set to land in the next week or so. My engagements and followers are down even including there, as are those of much more influential/important activists. We must 🗣️across platforms 🙏.
