A bit funny to hear the commentary complaining about attendance. A very mediocre team with very little to play for in a gap year against an opponent no one knows at a 7pm kickoff in November. Of course it's empty.

This. The AD job at Wazzu is going to be massively different going forward compared to what it was and you need pres and AD in lock step. Good job by Anne to keep the ship from sinking and smart move by Betsy to act decisively moving into the new era.
McCoy didn't move the athletic department forward in any tangible way, and I wouldn't have expected her to.
That's needed now. This president needs an AD who aligns with her vision for where the university needs to go. For that reason, I'm both unsurprised by today and fully supportive of it.

I'm going to give Jimmy this, he's got this team way more competitive than I ever expected them to be and a bowl game is still very much on the table which would be an A season for me... But when the wheels fall off on this team the whole rig fucking explodes lmao.

Anyways losing to UW always sucks but this year was lost in 2024 and the hope is to not bottom out. That UW offense is legit as well and we'll see if they have enough defense to compete with the top of the Big 10 real real soon. Could be a sleeper playoff team unfortunately.
