BREAKING: AOC blames crash on Trump / Elon

“I represent LGA Airport as well as workers for JFK. Trump gutted the Aviation Safety committee last week. Air traffic controllers, already understaffed, got Trump’s “buyout” this wk with a 1 wk ultimatum to decide. It’s not DEI - it’s him. And Elon too.”

These extraordinary photos of the LA fires have been shared widely on social media, often without crediting the photographer.

These are all the work of Ethan Swope, an LA-based photojournalist working for AP.

I very much believe that we should listen to native communities about fire mitigation, but also keep in mind that right now native communities are owed significant portions of the Colorado River and aren’t getting jackshit and maybe we should actually make good on our treaty obligations?

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum responded to Trump’s proposal to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico by pointing to a 17th century map of greater Mexico and suggesting a new name for the US.

“We are going to call it América Mexicana. It sounds pretty, no?”

Trump is a global laughingstock. 🤣

Dear Joe,

I know it feels really wrong to order your AG to release a Special Counsel report because that’s been a bad thing to do for so long. But the Supreme Court says it’s okay now. It’s legal. It’s an official act.

So go ahead, Mr. President. It’s normal now.

In Nevada, Amazon has more workers and their dependents on Medicaid than any other company.

They have twice as many workers on Medicaid as Walmart does in the state.

Nationwide, half of Amazon warehouse workers struggle to pay for food and housing.

#FunFact

Elon fired Americans and hired immigrants.

“Last April, Electrek reported that Tesla dismissed about 15,000 US employees, mostly in Texas and California – but then the company moved to fill those same jobs with imported labor at lower cost.”

The sad reality is, the overwhelming majority of Americans don't know there's a voter for the Speaker going on, don't care & won't be able to name him after the vote. This is what happens in a country where civics education is no longer universal. Its absence lets darkness settle in over democracy.

For Canadians, once you're in the hospital, the province takes care of the bill.

No one in Canada has ever declared bankruptcy because of hospital bills.

America is, in fact, alone in this regard.

Americans are spending way too much on health care - an average of $12,555 per person in 2022.

The average in other high-income nations? $6,651.

We're spending almost DOUBLE what other nations spend, & yet we still get far worse outcomes for patients.
