Housing advocates filed a lawsuit today against Gov. Newsom and L.A. leaders, saying they illegally banned duplexes in burn zones.

If this process is ever gonna work, it needs fundamental reform. A starting point would be to NOT have COPs each year, but only when it benefits the process. Otherwise, the outcomes feel forced, like "We better decide something since we all came all this way."
