The TPB in 2025 worked together with its partners to hone tools and mechanisms to think regionally and act locally. We hope to continue to strengthen our ties and collaborate for future transportation plans, dashboards, and initiatives across the DMV in 2026.
Thank you to CAC Chair Daniel Papiernik for leading the Community Advisory Committee in 2026. It was a great year with many learning opportunities on regional topics like Visualize 2050, DMVMoves, and Travel Demand Models. #ThinkRegionally

Happy New Year! The TPB is pleased to announce its 2026 officers. Gaithersburg City Council Member Neil Harris has been elected TPB Chair. DC Councilmember Matt Frumin and Alexandria City Councilmember Canek Aguirre will serve as Vice Chairs this year. bit.ly/4q8GQI2

Thank you, @walteralcorn.bsky.social, for your leadership as TPB chair in fall 2025. During this time, TPB approved the Visualize 2050 National Capital Region Transportation Plan, also 25 Enhanced Mobility projects to improve mobility for older adults & people with disabilities.

The TPB recently recognized 2025 Technical Committee Chair Victor Weissberg, Prince George's County, for his leadership and service. TPB Chairs @walteralcorn.bsky.social, @nharris.bsky.social, and @cmfrumin.bsky.social presented a plaque at the December board meeting. Thank you, Mr. Weissberg!

The TPB approved funding for three new Transit Within Reach projects at the November 19 board meeting. The projects in the City of Rockville, @montgomerycountymd.bsky.social and @fairfaxcounty.gov will help improve walking & bike access to the nearest bus stops and rail stations. bit.ly/3XAd7v0
